1. Eh you don’t have to watch The Killing. Maybe just the pilot. The pilot is really good.

2. As for writing, I’m essentially a baby writer myself, so my only advice is to never edit a first draft as you write. Just write it. Just write it and write it and don’t even reread a thing and just keep writing because finishing it is half the battle. Maybe two thirds of the battle. Most of the writing is in the pre-draft brainstorming/outlining and then the re-writing. Don’t sweat the shit you write when you first write it either just get it done. Just get that vomit draft on paper, get to the part where you write “End of Show” and you’re already a winner.

Also go write somewhere without an internet connection. The internet is the best and worst thing to happen to a writer.
